I'm excited about this new piece of technology coming into my life. With it, I can organize my tasks and file my contact data. I can get a nifty, little keyboard and turn the thing into a mini-word processor. I can even sync it up with a wireless modem to check my email and surf the net. I think about millions of horny men and women who have one of these devices and mostly, I think about how I can sell smut with it.

Technology researchers Dataquest predict that by 2005, there will be 137 million PDA owners in the United States. Already there are search engines and communities set up to inform, direct and sell to this market of pocket geeks. The bandwagon is rolling and in the next few articles, I will show you how to jump on it.

First, let's start with WAP. WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol. WAP is an open, global specification that enables users with wireless devices to access and interact with information and services instantly. Like HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP), WAP allows specially coded "sites" to be accessed through a network. Only with WAP, the web is a wireless one.

Webpages are written in a code called HyperText Markup Language. WAP pages are written in an XML-based code called Wireless Markup Language or WML. Instead of the ". html" extension, a WAP page will have the extension: ".wml".

Just like an HTML page needs to be defined, so does a WML page. Unlike an HTML site, a WAP site is broken down into "cards" instead of pages. Several WML pages are called a "deck". All cards within your deck need to have at least one paragraph tag. There are other tags that I will explain later. Just remember that WML is pretty much a stripped-down version of HTML. The language is about as easy to learn as HTML. There are already several WML editing programs available so, you don't really need to learn WML in order to build a WAP site.

There are devices and WAP browsers that use variants of HTML. It is possible to use this language called Compact HTML or CHTML, but WML is the standard for WAP. The reason WML is preferred is because of its minimal use of bandwidth. Another reason to write your WAP site in WML is that it requires less processing strength. Less processing strength means less power used by the device's batteries.

Currently, wireless Adult entertainment is pretty simplistic. Most of it is comprised of stories, jokes, advice and WAP images known as Wireless Bitmap Images or WBMP. These are 2 bit images and are very small. The pictures one can view on their wireless device recall the early days of the net and ASCII pr0n.

While the quality of streaming audio and video on wireless devices is nowhere near the level of the Internet eventually, it will be. Soon enough, a porn surfer will be able to see exactly the same content (albeit, on a smaller screen) on the PDA in their hot, horny hand. The tactile feature of a web-cam babe in your palm alone, will garner massive sales to Adult sponsors.

As swiftly as the Adult Internet took advantage of and benefited from the World Wide Web, those (who have the foresight to act on it) will profit from the Adult Wireless Web. Once again, we will read Cinderella stories of lowly, Adult start-ups that took advantage of a new idea. The door of Wireless opportunity is open.
