    Get Affiliate Software!
    By Titmowse | Writer @ CozyFrog | DEC.12.2006

Ahh, Paysites. If you’ve got the money, the content, the design and the marketing know-how you too can join the big dogs and run free in the yard. We all look to paysite ownership as a kind of upper echelon in our industry. The paysite owner makes all the money. The paysite owner gets all the glory and respect. The paysite owner is king over his own domain.

"Owning a paysite is hard. Running an affiliate program is harder. Before you jump off the deep end, make sure you're ready. "
Of course, we little people tend to overlook the drawbacks of paysite ownership. The never-ending costs, the constant updates, the religious record keeping, the money-grubbing lawyers, the due and overdue taxes and naturally, those whiney members. Yeah, owning a paysite is fucking party.

With all the tasks that paysite owners perform in a given day, it’s a wonder they get any sleep at all. When was the last time someone woke you up in the middle of the night to fix a broken lightbulb, much less a broken link? How often do you have parents banging on your door to complain that their kid saw your porn using a credit card lifted from Mommy’s purse? How would you feel if you lived with the constant possibility that the DOJ can come barging in at any moment to verify your 2257 records? Can you honestly say that you would enjoy the persistent pressure and responsibility that comes with paysite ownership?

Owning a paysite is no better or easier than owning any other business, real or virtual. Yeah, yeah. They have money but usually, more of it goes into the business than goes into the pocket. When a paysite owner does it right, he/she works his/her ass off and deserves every penny and honor they can get.

It seems like only yesterday that paysite owners figured out a way to make their sales efforts easier. Instead of hiring advertising firms or public relations teams, paysite owners decided that they would recruit adult webmasters to do the marketing in trade for commission pay. Thus was born the affiliate/sponsor model and it was good.

Third-party billers were great at supplying password security and shopping cart software but affiliate programs were another story. Initially, keeping up with affiliate webmasters and tracking their sales was relatively simple because there weren’t that many paysites or that many affiliates. Those simple times didn’t last long. Today, there are affiliate sponsors with tens of thousands of webmaster accounts to track. Today the affiliate program is practically impossible to implement without affiliate management software.

If you’ve been considering instituting a sponsor program for your adult paysite or service, you’re in luck, because there are some damned fine management programs available just for adult ventures. Whether you run a network of porn sites or just one, affiliate management software will track webmaster sales, check for fraud, display stats and even execute a rewards program for your top performers. Here are some affiliate software providers and their websites:

Mansion Productions is a long-revered name in the adult Internet. Their software MPA3 is top of the line when it comes to running your affiliate program. Need cascading billing? No problem. Want a program that will notify you via your cellphone? They have that too. This complete solution is on its sixth year in business and going strong.

This is the name on every webmaster’s lips when you ask about affiliate management software. NATS stands for Next-Generation Administration and Tracking Software and boy, do they mean it! This backend does everything except the payment processing and their fraud protection is unparalleled.

Would you like to automatically email your affiliate when he/she makes a sales/ Would you like that same email notification for yourself? Awiz will do. Webmasters can view their stats while you track their sales. Give your affiliates a full program with the ability to sell via FHGs as well as banners and text links. With a fully customizable admin area, you’ll enjoy using this software.

KowaBunga! Technologies offers this affiliate management software on three different levels: MyAP Complete, MyAP Performance and MyAP Pro. This company serves the small affiliate sponsor as well as the mega sponsor. Visit their site, compare packages and determine which one s best for your needs.

Owning a paysite is hard. Running an affiliate program is harder. Before you jump off the deep end, make sure you’re ready. Too many open affiliate programs before their paysites/services have been proven successful. The software mentioned in this article can’t help you if you have a paysite that won’t sell. Affiliate software is for site owners and service providers that already know how to make money.
