I wrote an article about how important it is for the adult webmaster to get out from behind the computer. Step away from the monitor. Walk outside. Smell some fresh air and drink up some sunshine. We lead cloistered, sedentary lives. Mentally and physically it’s just not healthy.

Now that we’ve got that health crap out of the way, I’d love to tell you about some good mind numbing, time eating, mouse potato fun.

We spend hours and hours on the web. We have to. The Internet is where we work. Lots of people grind on computers in the mainstream and there are many such who do so on the web. Those mainstreamers get in trouble not only for visiting porn sites but also for visiting game sites, chatting on messaging software or otherwise abusing “company time”.

Adult webmasters aren’t bound by the same set of rules as those poor mainstreamers. We have to be online. We have to use chat and instant messengers. We have to look at porn. We have to communicate with each other with message boards and email. We have to test out software and hardware and scripts. We have to layout and build pages. We have to submit sites to search engines, buy traffic and otherwise market little bytes of digital sex all day, every day. Yeah we get out but most of the time we kill time right where we sit. We take our breaks on the web and we love it.

If there’s anyone on the World Wide Web who can find a good cyber distraction it’s an adult webmaster. We’re experts at locating the cool games, flash toons and freebie fun that's out there on the info highway. From "Bonzai Kitten" to "Whack A Britney" - if it’s on the net and easy to load, we’re there.

Then again it gets pretty time-consuming to venture off searching the far reaches of the net for a little bit of amusement. Many times we’re killing time while we’re uploading or on a template-building binge. We’re just trying to clear our minds for a bit so we can return to resizing images or updating links. We don’t need to get lost in the black hole of the mindless troll. For us the web is still hypnotic because we know that whatever it is, we’ll find it if we search long enough. We need to have sites where we can relax without ruining our work process. We need cool fun pages that we can bookmark.
