Steve is a true playa! He's got his shit straight, puts in his dues and does all those little things right! LightSpeedCash is just about everywhere now, they've got a hell of a program with tons of quality sites, solid payouts and a great stream of faithful webmasters. He let us cut into his hectic workday to get the goods on his sponsor program...
C-Pimp: First off, let me thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this
interview with ya! How is life treating ya? How's work?
Steve: Life is good! What's not to be happy about? We're having a blast and we're making money and we're making friends.
C-Pimp: Must have had a couple of big weeks preparing for the Phoenix Forum! Now that it's behind you, any thoughts on the experience? Overall, how did it go for LightSpeed?
|
"Every site is updated everyday, because we have so many plug-ins and third party content. We shoot our own content and add it to our sites..." |
Steve: The Phoenix Forum was incredible for us. We really had a good time at that show. I approached it with the goal that I wanted to be big in my
hometown. We've always gone to everyone else's parties and we drank their booze and had fun on their dime. I felt it was our turn to foot the bill for our party. We went in as major sponsors. We had our paintball war. We had elaborate party buses and we had a few private parties at our studio. It was an awesome time. We made lot's of friends and I think the show overall was great. Everybody got along and there was a lot of good information going around. A lot of good networking and contacts were made. For us, we've had almost record sales for every day
since the Phoenix Forum.
C-Pimp: Tell us a little bit more about yourself, how long have you been in the adult online industry and how many services do you have under your belt at this very moment?
Steve: I started in 99 with a little, free site that was sort of, not all my own content. After one of my friends explained to me the correct way of doing things, I got rid of all my unlicensed content and started shooting my own. Now we have ten paysites, mostly featuring my photography. We have a content company and we have a video content plug-in.
C-Pimp: Let's talk bit about your Sponsor Program LightSpeedCash.com. How long has it been around and what does the program have to offer adult webmasters?
Steve: Lightspeed cash started last May. Lightspeed University and Sorority were already in existence and we put them and the rest all together in a sponsor program. What we do is sixty-percent recurring. We give away an enormous amount of content to our webmasters, over 25,000 images. We recycle traffic back. I think what I like is that we have ten whole sites, not ten front ends for one site. We pay on exit and we pay for upsells.
C-Pimp: You own one of the if not "the" best cheerleader sites on the adult web. Was that the site that started it all for ya? How long has it been around?
Steve: Thank you. I'm glad you like it. That was the site that started it for me. I opened Lightspeed University in 99 because I couldn't find another cheerleader site that I thought was doing it well. There were a lot of fake cheerleaders with tattoos and high-heeled shoes and thong panties and piercings. I said "Why can't somebody take a college-aged
girl and put her in a realistic looking uniform"? It didn't seem like anyone else was doing it at the time. It caught on in a huge way.
C-Pimp: Do you shoot all your cheerleader content or work specifically with content producers to supply you with the content you need?
Steve: I shoot ninety percent of the content myself because I haven't found many photographers that can shoot in my particular style. We do pick up some other content if it's well done.
C-Pimp: If I'm not mistaken you've got 10 paysites in your program covering an array of niches with quite a few new ones on the way. How many heads do you have on your LightSpeed team keeping the empire together?
Steve: There are more sites on the way and we have five full-time employees. Richard is our VP of Lightspeed media. He started with me two years ago
and now he's in charge of all the content and all of the production and all the websites. We met Tanker in May of last year after he came out of Amateur Pages. He had a wealth of knowledge and contacts. He's really responsible for bringing Lightspeed cash to the point it is now. We hired Coconut Christine to run our talent agency and deal with all our models and recruiting. She is now doing some photography for us. She also handles Coconut Content and our Cheerleaders Gone Wild feed and all the sales for them. Then we have my wife who does all our accounting and
taxes and other administrative issues. She acts as our office manager.
C-Pimp: How often do you update your sites, daily, weekly, monthly? Who takes care of that responsibility?
Steve: Every site is updated everyday, because we have so many plug-ins and third party content. We shoot our own content and add it to our sites like: University, Sorority and King of Tease about three times a week. Richard is the lucky guy that gets to do all of that.
C-Pimp: I've gotta ask, how many hours do you spend working online on a weekly basis?
Steve: I usually work from seven in the morning until midnight every day
C-Pimp: Do you offer any incentives or bonuses to webmasters that produce impressive numbers on a monthly basis? Any perks for your top affiliates?
Steve: We try to spoil our affiliates to death. Ask Ammo. We've taken him on helicopter rides. We've partied with him in every city we've gone to. We give him free tickets to shows and we've been known to throw pretty lavish parties for all our webmasters. We opened a bar at the Player's Ball for our webmasters and everybody had a great time. We have an incentive program where we give away a motorcycle. We also have an incentive program where anyone who produces 500 sign ups gets 100% of their sign-up commissions for the following month.
C-Pimp: What kind of promotional tools do you offer with your program aside from banner ads? Any Free Content covering your niches or submit tools?
Steve: How about twenty-five thousand free pictures covering all our sites? :) We occasionally throw surprises in like we recently broadcast spring
break live in association with HotWired Network. We did thirty days live and gave lots of promo tools to our webmasters.
C-Pimp: Wanna give our readers a little word on some of your other ongoing projects? What's cookin' at CoconutContent.com, lately?
Steve: Coconut Content is cooking right along. We will be releasing somewhere along the lines of a hundred to a hundred and fifty new sets later on this year. Out biggest project right now is a spin-off from Tawnee Stone. Her sister Tori has become nearly as popular and we're going to release her own site soon.
C-Pimp: Any other projects or services in the works for 2002 that you would like to share with us? What's in store for LightSpeed Media this year?
Steve: We're going to continue on the convention circuit this year and meet as many people as we can. We have a few fun things coming out. We're working on Bitch Hunter, which will be a parody of Crocodile Hunter. We're trying to get close as we can to the world's most notorious bitches. :) That should be some time this summer. In the works, we have Pimp Daddy Palace and Pink & White that we're trying to get under way.
C-Pimp: Whoa, that just about does it for this one. Appreciate you taking the time to do this for our Cozy Clan! Any shout-outs or comments before
we close this one up?
Steve: I'd like to say thank you to everyone that's helped us along the way. It's been an absolute pleasure to meet and work with the people we have
met so far and we hope to meet everyone else in the near future!
Another Cozy Interview in the Books! Make sure you check out LightSpeedCash.com and give them a try! Great payouts and quality converting sites!
