** Continued From: Internext Las Vegas 2003! - Part #2

DAY 2

Tuesday morning my eyes popped open around ten again. I resisted the room service coffee urge and padded down the hall and bought a coke from the vending machine. I sipped my caffeine and made some phone calls. I finally got a hold of Raven in her room at the Venetian. She had my Cozy business cards and we agreed she would get them to me on the show floor that day. I got dressed and went down and ate lunch at the Treasure Island Buffet. I ate all my Vegas meals there because of the convenience. I had so much to do I didn't have time to deal with dining reservations. The food was okay and the service was excellent. I had no complaints.

I managed to follow the path the Redshoes and I had taken the day before to the show floor. I got all the way inside the Venetian and somewhere on the gambling floor I got lost. I wondered around for a while and finally latched on to a nice fellow who had an Internext pass around his neck. He got me there and I thanked him. I scooped up another free tote from Video Secrets and charged right in for EXPO day two.

This second day was the big day for all the special floor events. Jenna Jameson, Larry Flynt and Ron Jeremy were all scheduled to appear at INTERNEXT Tuesday. Adult models were out in full force all dressed and undressed in their best model gear. I had fancied myself up a little because this was the day they were going to announce the winner of Adult Chamber's Webmaster of the Year Contest. So, on top of needing to visit exhibitors, chat up webmasters and snag free shit, I had to find Raven and Tev, get my business cards, eat something and make sure to be at the KLIXXX booth by 3:00 PM for the awards presentation.

There were some obviously empty spaces that had reservation cards tacked up on them, but I think I counted maybe four unclaimed spots on the show floor. It's possible that a few more exhibitors showed up on this second EXPO day. I think mostly everyone just planned their big activities for day two of INTERNEXT and big it was.

Models models models. I couldn't look up without seeing one or four curvy gals with URLs printed on their skimpy shorts or tiny tee shirts. I was told that last year the center's security was pretty strict about booby flashing. I know that the Lightspeed booth staged a lesbian photo session but by the time I got anywhere near the activities, there were so many guys surrounding it and snapping photos that I couldn't see around to the babes. That's pretty much how the show room floor bits went for me. If Jenna Jameson was there, I didn't see her. I couldn't see her. I was too short.

I saw Ron Jeremy but I was too shy to say hello. I know that Adult.com had a cool presentation because their swarm of bodies was massive. I decided to give up even trying to see the porn stars and concentrated on finding Raven. I hit the XBIZ booth a few times throughout the day and heard tales of Raven and Tev's activities. I circled the floor countless times looking for a mass of red hair because she told me that's how I'd recognize her. I'd read the badges of women that walked by and then I passed by the KLIXXX booth to see if they knew where she was.

I looked up behind the counter and there was a little gal with flaming red curls. She looked up at me and over the noise I saw her mouth the word "Titmowse". Raven and I had found each other and all was good. She immediately found Tev and introduced him to me. We all exchanged our show experiences thus far and then it was time for the Adult Webmaster of the Year Awards.

The Adult Chamber of Commerce nominated twelve individuals this year for their Webmaster of the Year honor. Both my self and C-Pimp were nominees. I was there to accept if I won and to accept for C-Pimp if he won. The presentation was lovely. Marc Laffer, President of Adult Chamber gave a wonderful speech and then introduced the Master of Ceremonies YNOTBob. Bob then introduced each nominee with fine words of praise that Cyndalie had written. The Adult Webmaster of the Year is Danny_C from WebmasterJoint. Danny is a hell of a good writer and a really great guy but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of the prizes he won.

That man earned himself $2500.00, two weeklong trips, a Handspring Prizm and an IPOD. I say "earned" because these awards were a true demarcation of quality. Mr. Laffer and his beautiful wife made a point to pull me aside to tell me how proud he was of all the nominees and how we should be proud of ourselves. You know what? I am proud. With quality writers like Danny_C representing, we all look better.

After the presentation, Tev took me up to his and Raven's room at the Venetian to get my legendary business cards. Theirs was super fancy with bi-level flooring and great blue colors. NOTE: The Venetian offers dialup access in most of their rooms. All the rooms at Treasure Island have broadband. We smoked a cigarette and talked about business and the upcoming Cozy project and then headed back to the show floor. My cards were beautiful and I spent the rest of the day passing them out to anyone and everyone I could.

I hung around after Raven and Tev left the show so I could say goodbye to the Redshoes who were going home that night. They and I and Boneprone were all staying at Treasure Island so the four of us walked back together. The Shoes said their good-byes in the casino and Boney and me hit the elevators. We promised to meet up later with Mrs. Boneprone at the XBIZ Awards but I never saw him again in Vegas. Oh well.

That day was an eventful one but I had an even crazier night ahead of me. I had two parties to hit and one of them had already started. I hung in my room to chill for a little while. Then I went down and caught a bite to eat at the buffet. After some cigarettes, food and coffee, I headed out to the PornCity reception.
